Impact Imports Now In Philadelphia!Boise, Idaho - Impact Imports just announced it is expanding its operation by opening a retail store in a high profile downtown Philadelphia, PA, location. Their new store will be located at 63-67 N 2nd Street in Old City, an historic district of Philadelphia. Owners Suzanne and Drew McDaniel said their oldest son, Adam, will be joining their team and managing the new location. “We’ve been traveling to Philadelphia for the past few years and have been considering this expansion for quite some time,” says Drew. “Fortunately we are able to capitalize on the high vacancy rates of retail locations and get started in Philly with a greatly reduced overhead.” Click here to find the Impact Imports - Philadelphia location in Old City.
One of the deciding factors to open an operation in Philadelphia is family living in the city and in the suburbs of Philly, but Impact Imports has been shipping more and more product to customers on the east coast. “We recently shipped custom made stone pedestal sinks and reclaimed fishing boat wood pieces to a restaurant chain in Washington, DC,” stated Suzanne. “And more homeowners are finding us online and buying product as well.” Locally, Impact Imports has provided custom pieces to Barbacoa, Ling & Louie’s and Berryhill Restaurants, as well as many homeowners throughout the treasure valley. Impact Imports’ Philadelphia store opened on November 4th.
Impact Imports operates out of a 10,000 square foot warehouse located in south east Boise. They specialize in reclaimed old growth teak furniture, home accessories, handmade marble and onyx vessel sinks and bathtubs, river rock sinks and bathtubs, mosaic tile, hand carved garden stone and statuary, old Indonesian teak buildings, antiques, architectural elements and even handmade jewelry from Bali. They are also the only company around with petrified wood tile and petrified wood vessel sinks. Competitively priced, many customers find Impact Imports to be the best deal around. “We deal directly with the craftsmen in villages throughout Bali, Java and Madura islands in Indonesia which guarantees we are buying at the best price possible and then we sell at the best price as well,” says Suzanne. “We like to turn our inventory and go on buying trips as often as possible. It’s one of the perks of our business.” With nearly 500,000 air miles to and from Indonesia over the past 10 years, Suzanne and Drew are dedicated to finding the best and most interesting products Indonesia has to offer.
